    Your ability to wake up on time is contingent heavily on your sleep hygiene. Some people have trained their bodies on the correct schedule; rising with the sun, and sleeping when its dark.

    However, not everyone can have such a discipline due to their work, social and family life.     Regulating your sleep

    Just as you eat on time, without an alarm clock telling you to eat, likewise, you should also be sleeping till required, after which your body then is able to wake up. Here are some things that you can do to regulate your sleep:

    Keep to a schedule

    Make your sleep cycle a routine, so that your body is able to predict the waking up and sleeping time. Often, people are able to maintain the routine through the weekdays, but come the weekend, you have successfully undone the progress you made.

    Hence, make sure that you have a proper sleep routine. Go to sleep and wake up at a fixed time. You might need the assistance of an alarm clock in the beginning, but once your body has gotten the hang of it, you’ll be good to go.

    Catch the sunshine

    You might feel drowsy right after waking up, especially if you are very comfortable, and you may then oversleep just because. To avoid this, make sure to catch sunlight after waking up. It not only helps you enter into wakefulness, but it also helps in regulating your circadian rhythm.

    Meet your sleep needs

    Often, sleeping for 8-9 hours is considered a luxury, and many perceive it as a sign of laziness. However, do not let these unhealthy and misplaced mindsets influence you.
